The article discusses the far reaching impact the unprecedented numbers of unemployment caused by the coronavirus pandemic is having on the US economy, and the increasing effect it will have on the estimated time to economic recovery. Dr. Johnson was quoted in the article–which states, “’One of the most troubling parts of this is that we have a health crisis linked to an economic crisis,’ said John Johnson, chief executive of Edgeworth Economics, which specializes in the labor market. ‘There’s such a huge disruption.’”
