George Korenko

Dr. George Korenko is an experienced economist and econometrician, with over three decades of experience across the private sector, academia, government, and consulting. During his career, he has made extensive contributions to academic and public policy debates and has assisted businesses and government agencies in making critical corporate and regulatory decisions. Dr. Korenko earned his PhD in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his MA in economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he also received a BS with dual majors in economics and finance.  Before joining Edgeworth, Dr. Korenko was a Senior Economist at the Federal Housing Finance Agency (“FHFA”) and held faculty positions at the University of North Carolina and Meredith College, where he was voted “Outstanding Teacher in Business and Economics” by his students.

Dr. Korenko’s recent work has been published in various media outlets including Business Insider and Bloomberg Law.  His research on intellectual property protection and valuation has been published in books and in academic journals and he has presented on these issues at numerous domestic and international conferences. His work in finance has been published in Quantitative Finance, and he has spoken on finance topics at conferences and to senior officials at the FHFA and Congressional staff. As an expert witness, Dr. Korenko has testified through written reports, depositions, and at trial on a wide variety of topics, including antitrust, commercial damages, tax, transfer pricing, executive compensation, labor and employment, medical malpractice, and international trade.
